Re-parents a single compartment, putting it under newParentLayerID. The new parent must be a compartment type, not a box — moving into a box is rejected. Samples within the moved compartment travel with it. To re-parent several compartments to the same destination, use POST /storageLayers/moveToLayer/{newParentLayerID}.
