Create a new compartment within an existing compartment

https://{targetURL}/api/v1/storageLayers//childLayers

icon accepts one of the standard values (unknown, shelf, samplebox) or a custom instrument icon name. When omitted, it inherits from the storage layer definition.

`altID` is the external/custom barcode identifier for the new compartment. Set it to link the compartment to a barcode from an external system; it is searchable via `GET /storageLayers/forBarcodes`.
